Seniors say farewell to Laura Mocken (K2)

After another successful season of intense debating, Goethe’s Seniors say farewell to Laura, who has been with us through thick and thin for the past five years. We will truly miss her perfect 3rd speech rebuttals and wish her all the best for the future. On 13th June, the Seniors travelled to Kornwestheim to compete in the quarterfinal and Laura’s last debate for our team. Facing their toughest opponent yet – Ernst-Sigle-Gymnasium Kornwestheim – in a debate on the motion This house believes that cop shows do more harm than good, the Seniors unfortunately lost. Nevertheless we experienced a fun ice-cream- and debate-filled day and enjoyed watching the final on the motion This house supports the rise of AI romantic partners, which was won by Ernst-Sigle-Gymnasium. Congratulations! As previously mentioned, our speaker Michael Wang was best Senior speaker of the season and was awarded a trophy at the end of the day. We are very happy for him! Congratulations, Michael! We once again look back on a fun and successful year of debating. Thank you to everyone involved and especially Laura for your many years with the team.
