With their fourth win in a row, Goethe-Gymnasium’s Junior League Debating team once again has every reason to celebrate!
“This house supports a maximum voting age” and “This house would ban minors from social media” – two controversial motions that the team dealt with brilliantly in round 3 and 4 of this year’s debating competition. Like last time, the debates took place online via Zoom. After just an hour of preparation, Maximilian Kirschner, Niklas Knauff and Michael Wang first showed their skills in the impromptu debate against THG Aalen. And the three speakers from year 7 and 8 did a fantastic job! Well done, boys, for winning this debate!
Next up were Maryam Reidel, Jule Carl and Laura Mocken in the debate against Johannes-Kepler-Gymnasium Stuttgart. With their well-prepared speeches and a very good strategy, the three girls deservedly won this debate as well!
The team is now looking forward to competing in round 5 and 6 on 13th May! Preparations have started. Fingers crossed they’ll be successful again!
