GGE’s senior debaters have started the debating season of 2025/26 with two resounding wins.
For rounds 1 and 2, the team traveled to Karlsruhe to face Max-Planck-Gymnasium Lahr in an impromptu debate (“This house would make alcohol illegal”) and Hans-Thoma-Gymnasium Lörrach in a prepared debate (“This house believes that the winners of the most prestigious arts awards should always be decided by a public vote”). After two interesting debates, the seniors returned home, having won both rounds unanimously.
Now the seniors are preparing for rounds 3 and 4 on the 30th of January, which are being hosted by us. Fingers crossed!
